Or maybe not.
Five people have confirmed to Us Weekly magazine that Gosselin, the dad on TLC's popular "Jon Kate Plus 8," has been having an affair with a third-grade teacher namedDeanna Hummel
The magazine details all the sordid details from Hummel's older brother - and roommate -Jason
, who tells Us Weekly that he is speaking out to set the record straight and to protect his naive sister. (And, we think, to get his name in the magazine.)
"She's a nice girl, not a homewrecker," Jason tells Us Weekly. "He is a bad liar. This isn't healthy for her. But she is refusing to help herself, so here I am trying to help her myself. I hope this clears the air."
After Gosselin and Hummel met in mid-January at a lounge in Reading, Penn., Jason says Gosselin - the father of 8-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets - began relentlessly pursuing his sister.
By mid-February, Gosselin was coming over to their house, where Jason says his sister and Gosselin would "pretty much stay locked away like two teenagers. It was weird. He's a grown man."
This whole thing is weird.
On Wednesday, Deanna Hummel denied the Us Weekly story to People magazine. "My brother is making this all up," she told People. "He has no credibility ... I can't even stomach the lies he's saying about me."
She continues to deny any romantic relationship with Gosselin and says that there's been bad blood between her and her brother for a while now.
"My brother is very shady," she told People. "He has no job. He has a criminal background. He was charged for drug distribution. He's on probation right now."
Gosselin has spent the last few months himself denying any dalliances. One of the last came in an interview in the May issue of Ladies Home Journal.
"This struggle has definitely put some tension in our marriage. But I never cheated on Kate. Kate and I are together," he told the mag after photos of him partying with college girls prompted talk that his marriage was in trouble.
Guess we'll have to wait and watch them sort this all out next season.
