In Monday night’s “Bachelorette” finale, Shawn Booth proposed to Kaitlyn Bristowe with a whopping 3.5 carat diamond ring from Neil Lane valued at around $150,000 (but cost Booth nothing).
It’s reportedly the priciest ring yet in the ‘Bachelor’ franchise, and that’s saying something considering the number of rings that have been passed around.
So how does her ring measure up to past contestants? Let’s take a look, shall well?
Here’s Bristowe’s rock:
Never miss a local story.
It’s certainly a stunner, “set with a central round, brilliant-cut diamond and surrounded by 160 smaller diamonds in an entwined band,” according to People.
Farmer Chris Soules proposed to now ex-fiance Whitney Bischoff with a 3.6-carat square diamond ring last season, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to keep the relationship shining.
“Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman had her 3-carat oval engagement ring for almost a year before cutting ties with Josh Murray. It’s a shame — and we’re sure she had a hard time letting that one go (the ring, not Murray).
In one of the show’s few success stories, “Bachelorette” Desiree Hartsock got engaged (and married!) to Chris Siegfried with a 4-carat ring featuring a cushion-cut diamond surrounded by 200 small diamonds. At least her ring has stood the test of time.
And finally, Catherine Lowe got engaged (and married!) to Sean Lowe after he proposed with this Neil Lane sparkler, a 3.15 carat ring with a cushion cut stone.
Our only question: What happens to the cast away rings when the relationships fail? We’d take first dibs on Dorfman’s bling.
