Fans of “Grey’s Anatomy” still mourning the death of Derek Shepherd last week were left reeling with yet another shocker on Thursday night.
This is your official spoiler alert. Look away, look away.
The two-hour episode spanned an entire year for everyone at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, with a quiet funeral for Shepherd, Patrick Dempsey’s character, coming in the first few minutes of the show.
Then Meredith takes the kids and leaves town for a few months. More like, oh, close to nine months.
Turns out she’s pregnant.
“Part of me thought, what if I have this baby and then I just die," Meredith tells Alex in the hospital because yes, she buried her husband and delivered her baby in one episode.
“And then she arrived and I saw her face and I saw him in her. She’s beautiful.”
