Juan Pablo Galavis, the “Bachelor” who gave Kansas City’s Nikki Ferrell a rose but no diamond in 2014, finally put a ring on someone’s finger.
Galavis, 36, married Venezuelan model and TV host Osmariel Villalobos in a small, intimate ceremony in Miami, People reported. The wedding was announced Monday on the season finale of “The Bachelorette.”
The couple shared photos on social media, where Villalobos, 29, called the wedding a “dream come true” on Instagram.
Only close family members and friends were invited, a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the couple plan to have another wedding in Venezuela.
“They both wanted to keep the wedding very, very secret,” said the source. “All their friends and family knew they were going to tie the knot eventually, but it was a surprise to a lot of their family members.”
The bride wore a lacy gown by Alejandro Fajardo. She posted photos to Instagram on Sunday, thanking the Venezuelan designer.
The two met in 2016 after a mutual friend showed Galavis a picture of Villalobos. When they met, they clicked, he told People last year after going public with the relationship.
Villalobos, a former beauty queen, gained a bit of notoriety over the summer when she and a female rival fought in a gym bathroom. The two models had been enemies since Villalobos criticized the other woman for posting naked photos to social media.
“Her birthday is August 2, which is three days before mine,” Galavis said. “We’re so much alike. She’s like a female version of me – the Juan Pablo that people know personally, not the TV one!”
The “TV” Juan Pablo was infamously unpopular on season 18 of “The Bachelor,” but we won’t rehash that history here on such a happy occasion.
Ferrell married Tyler VanLoo in October in Kansas City. One of her bridesmaids was Andi Dorfman, who also competed for Galavis’ affections on “The Bachelor” and made it to the final three women. She and Ferrell remain friends.
Speaking of Bachelor Nation, Jade Roper and Kansas City native Tanner Tolbert also attended Ferrell’s wedding last fall, as newlyweds. The two met on the “Bachelor” spinoff, “Bachelor in Paradise,” and now call the Kansas City area home.
Jade is now 34 weeks pregnant.
Ah, the “Bachelor” circle of life.
