Kanye West, with his new blond hair, met with president-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday.
CSPAN video showed West walking through the building’s lobby with reporters shouting questions at him before the meeting.
“Kanye, what are you doing here today?”
“Kanye, are you meeting with Donald Trump today?”
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks confirmed to Business Insider that the two did meet.
Trump and West later posed for photos together in the lobby, where Trump told reporters that they had discussed “life. We discussed life.”
West, arms folded, refused to answer questions shouted at him by reporters who wanted to know if he planned to perform at Trump’s inauguration, or if he still wanted to run for president in 2020.
West stood mostly silent, then joked: “I just want to take a picture right now.”
This is one of West’s first public outings since being released from UCLA Medical Center after a nine-day stay for extreme exhaustion.
During one of his last Saint Pablo tour stops before taking a break, West told a shocked California audience that he didn’t vote in the presidential election but if he had, he would have voted for Trump.
His appearance at Trump Tower quickly became the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter where it set off a round of jokes.
