Clever pregnancy announcements have become quite the trend lately.
From gender reveal parties to sharing the news with your closest Facebook friends, it’s no longer enough to simply be with child: you have to figure out a new way to announce it.
Enter the McGillicuddys, a creative couple who put every Pinterest-searching pair before them to shame. The two used Coca-Cola’s #ShareaCoke campaign to reveal their secret to the world.
In the couple’s video, the two swapped voices and even impersonated a few actors by taking sips out of different-named Cokes before they dropped a bomb at the end.
“After our first ultrasound I grabbed a Diet Coke on my way to work,” Patrick McGillicuddy told The Huffington Post. “Looking at it, I saw that the can read, ‘Dad.’ Not knowing how popular that can was at the time, I thought, ‘What are the chances!’... I took a photo and sent it to my wife ... and the rest is history!”
In return, Coke sent the expecting couple a congratulatory tweet but sadly, no free goods.
