“Harry Potter” star Emma Watson found no humor in a Turkish politician’s thoughts on women laughing in public. So she’s having a good laugh at his expense.

The British actress, a newly named UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, tweeted a photo of herself on a public street doubled over in laughter.

Last month, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said in an interview that “a woman should be chaste. She should know the difference between public and private. She should not laugh in public.

“Where are our girls, who slightly blush, lower their heads and turn their eyes away when we look at their face, becoming the symbol of chastity?”

The remarks kicked up quite a bit of backlash, with Turkish women flooding Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with photos of themselves laughing. They used the hashtag #direnkahkaha, said to mean “resist laugh.”
