Boulevardia announces its three-day music lineup

Organizers of the first Boulevardia have announced the music lineup for the three-day street festival to be held June 13-15 in the West Bottoms.

The headliners: Capital Cities, an electronic-pop duo from Los Angeles; the Wild Feathers, an alt-counry/rock band from Nashville; the Freddy Jones Band; and the BoDeans.

More than two dozen bands will perform at the festival, including several local bands. Among them: the Grisly Hand, Katy Guillen the Girls and Hearts of Darkness. The dance/aerial/music troupe Quixotic will also perform.

Boulevardia, organized by Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewing Co., will celebrate music, food and craft beers. More than three dozen breweries will participate.

General admission tickets cost $10 per day in advance. Three-day passes cost $25 in advance. General admission tickets provide access to the festival’s two live music stages, as well as food trucks, artisans, a carnival and an “eco expo” that aims to spread awareness about green initiatives in Kansas City.

Tickets sold out quickly to the Taps Tastes event, to be held Saturday, June 14.Taps Tastes ticket holders get unlimited beer and food samples from 35 breweries and 12 local restaurants.
