‘The Box’ No review
Rated PG-13 | Time: 1:55
What is it? In this horror entry a mysterious man (Frank Langella) gives a young couple (Cameron Diaz, James Marsden) a box that will grant any wish … but each time they use it someone, somewhere will die.
Why didn’t Warner Bros. show it to the press? The studio had no comment.
Why we’d see it: It’s based on a story by suspense/horror master Richard Matheson. Frank Langella rocks. Also, writer/director Richard Kelly had one of the coolest movies of all time in 2001’s “Donnie Darko.”
Why we wouldn’t: Kelly’s last outing was the virtually unwatchable “Southland Tales” (2006).
Look for a review on Kansas City.com/movies.
