“I’m sure I said horrible things,” Guthrie said.
The latest: a story in radio trade pub Inside Radio.
“Entercom rehires Kansas City personality who filed age discrimination complaint,” it begins. “The twist: Her age discrimination case against the cluster remains. Attorney Brian Costello says the EEOC has until August to decide whether it will take action against Entercom, after which the four can file their own age discrimination lawsuit. He tells Inside Radio that case still includes Guthrie, who he notes is earning less as a PM drive talent compared to her former morning position.”
The story reports that the 60-something Floyd is “planning to retire.”
Stay tuned.
Heard on the street…
Mr. Prolific alert: Three songs into his set at the Beaumont Club Tuesday, pop rocker Teddy Geiger revealed to an audience of Mix 93.3 FM listeners (and their parents) that he would be playing a few new songs for them. Quite a few, actually.
“I just put 33 new songs up on my Web site,” Geiger says. “And you guys can go there and pick between them, and those are the songs that will end up on the next album.”
