This is your last chance for a while to see “Dear Zachary” (3 p.m., MSNBC), one of the most acclaimed documentaries of the year and an immediate high-profile acquisition for the cable channel’s new MSNBC Films division. When filmmaker Kurt Kuenne learned his childhood friend Andrew Bagby had been slain — and that the accused killer was his girlfriend, now pregnant with the couple’s child Zachary — he decided to chronicle his friend’s life so Zachary would know who his dad was. And that’s just the opening to a remarkable exploration of how we can touch so many lives, for good or evil.
MONDAY
“Battlestar Galactica” isn’t quite back for its final season (that happens Jan. 16), but SciFi.com is releasing a 10-part Webisode series, “The Face of the Enemy,” this month. The first Webisode was posted last week, with the second going online at 11 a.m. Monday and the third on Wednesday. It’s a little whodunit in which Gaeta (Alessandro Juliani) and No. 8 (Grace Park) try to figure out who or what is killing off the passengers inside their transport.
“Heroes” is also launching a new Webisode series Monday at NBC.com, if anyone still cares.
TUESDAY
“Aqua Teen Hunger Force” leads this week’s TV-to-DVD releases with a collection that includes four never-before-seen episodes and, for the kids, stickers! Adult Swim is promoting the unaired episodes as the network’s way of “giving” to the show’s fans. And all you have to do is give them $29.95 suggested retail.
Also out this week on shiny discs is “Mr. Bean: The Ultimate Collection” and, I kid you not, the first season of “Petticoat Junction.” Get it for your Uncle Joe — the one who’s moving kinda slow.
