Has 3-D technology made a difference to moviegoers? The picture is still blurry

Five years after “Avatar,” moviegoers are wary of which films they see in 3-D. Now that around 35 percent of the nation’s screens are 3-D capable, the question remains whether the impact has been as significant for the customer as for the theaters that spent millions upgrading to this format.
