Come and Gone

20th Century Fox this week debuted the first trailer for

Gone Girl,

based on the creepy mega-seller by KCs own Gillian Flynn. David Fincher directs Ben Affleck as the man whose wife (Rosamund Pike) goes missing. A sampling from the impressed media:

New York Daily News

: Clues to Amy Dunnes whereabouts may not abound, but the creepy look of the trailer is evidence that Fincher (Seven, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) has left his fingerprints all over the film.

: Pike was sort of unexpected casting. After about three seconds of angry yelling in the foyer, I am sold.

People magazine: The trailer is almost like a dark and brooding music video, set to a Richard Butler cover of the famous Charles Aznavour song She.

(Elvis Costello also sang it in Notting Hill.)

Weve linked to the trailer on KansasCity.com/entertainment. The movie arrives Oct. 3.

Their brothers keeper

Filmmakers on the next Fast and Furious movie confirm that Caleb and Cody Walker, brothers of the late

Paul Walker

, will help finish the actors scenes.

Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for Fast Furious 7, and its among the strongest work of his career, says the announcement on the films

page. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

Walker died in a car crash in November. The movie is due in theaters next April.

But first, Walkers final complete film, the action crime drama Brick Mansions, arrives April 25.
