Big Slick is no longer just one celebrity weekend each year.
Actors David Koechner and Rob Riggle, two of the five hometown celebrity hosts, are inviting guests to join them for a VIP tailgate on Sunday, Nov. 26, at Arrowhead Stadium, when the Chiefs take on the Buffalo Bills.
It’s the second year in a row Riggle and Koechner will host a VIP tailgate and a signal of Big Slick’s effort to extend fundraising past the annual June weekend. Those interested will have to act quickly, however: Fewer than 50 tickets remain, said Big Slick spokeswoman Beth Hoops.
Those who purchase the $350 tickets will get the chance to hang out with the hosts while enjoying a full buffet and bar. They will also be entered into a raffle for a sideline meet-and-greet with Chiefs Pro Bowl punter Dustin Colquitt. Guests can then watch the game from the premium seats in Arrowhead Stadium’s Club Level.
As with all Big Slick events, proceeds will be donated to Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
Colquitt and other Chiefs players, such as Travis Kelce, have a history of partnering with the Big Slick hosts (Riggle and Koechner, as well as Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet and Jason Sudeikis) to help raise money for the Cancer Center at Children’s Mercy Hospital. The annual two-day event includes a celebrity softball game, bowling tournament and red carpet arrival, and VIP auction. This year was the most successful weekend ever, raising $1.75 million, bringing the overall donation total to more than $6 million since the event began in 2010.
