Cityscape | Two new entertainment venues to open at Zona Rosa

Zona Rosa, at the northeast corner of Interstate 29 and Barry Road, will be home to two new entertainment offerings next year. Studio Movie Grill, based in Dallas, is planning an upscale, eight-screen “movie grill” concept. It will feature first-run movies with digital projection, leather recliners, a bar area and event spaces.

Coffeehouses offer welcome break for those who work at home

More than just coffee is brewing at popular shops around the city. For many businesspeople, the local coffee shop has become a second office. “I have found that it’s pretty common for people to use Homer’s as an office away from their office,” said Glenn Winkler, manager of Homer’s Coffee House in Overland Park. “Several of them work at home and like to come in and see people, and others just like to get out of their cubicles.”
