As expected, Sprint falls behind fast-growing rival T-Mobile US Inc. in total subscribers for the first time. It’s now No. 4 with 57.668 million subscribers while T-Mobile climbs to No. 3 with 58.908 million.
KC Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura tweeted a message to Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays after Sunday’s game in Toronto. Soon after, Ventura deleted the tweets but they were captured and people did their best to translate what Ventura wrote. On Monday, Ventura apologized to Bautista.
Kaiser Carlile died Sunday night of head injuries suffered at national tournament Saturday in Wichita. A batter warming up near the on-deck circle accidentally struck Kaiser in the head with the bat; the boy died the next day. He is fondly remembered for his passion for being with the Liberal team, even riding on its bus.

The driver of a vehicle that police said was traveling at high speeds on Mission Road struck one vehicle at 95th Street and three others at 103rd Street in Overland Park shortly before 4:50 p.m. Monday. The driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Another person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
