Former Chiefs tight end Sean McGrath isn’t alone as other young NFL players retire

Seven months after Chiefs tight end Sean McGrath unexpectedly walked away from football, he attends art classes at Henderson State University. Several young, established players, not unlike McGrath, have recently left professional football, including Chris Borland, the star rookie 49ers linebacker who made national headlines when he retired because of concerns about the long-term effects of concussions.


Collaboration of KC professionals mend broken children

Like other severely abused and neglected children in the Kansas City area who were rescued before him, a 10-year-old boy found malnourished after he ran away from home last week has a long road to recovery. But a community of child advocates, therapists and physicians will be there to counsel and guide him.

One was a short valediction from drummer Mick Fleetwood, a founder of the band, who thanked the huge crowd for its patronage, and the other from Stevie Nicks, one of its three songwriters and lead singers.
