Chiefs exercise fifth-year option on Eric Fisher

The Chiefs exercised their fifth-year option of left tackle Eric Fisher, the team announced Monday. The club had until Monday to execute the option, which should approach $12 million for 2017. The option is guaranteed for injury, which means he’d be paid even if he were to be seriously hurt in 2016.

Ride with Yael Abouhalkah behind a Kansas City streetcar

Sure, many people are ready to hop on Kansas City's new streetcars starting Friday. But what's it like to drive BEHIND the streetcar as it winds along Main Street between Union Station and the River Market? The Star found out the other day during a streetcar test run - with some video sped up to make it through the entire 2.2-mile route. Results? It can be tough to see traffic lights. It can be a little frustrating - and wait until it stops to pick up passengers. Still, motorists will get used to it. Or, they will find other routes to snake through downtown.
