Ongoing U.S. military fighting adds to the Memorial Day remembrance

For too many Americans, Memorial Day is just another three-day weekend. But some people still remember the true reason for Memorial Day. Families who have lost loved ones in conflicts a world away, students and adults who paid attention in civics class — all will take time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that so many American military personnel have made to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.

Onboard cameras capture car crashing into KC streetcar

Onboard surveillance cameras captured video of a car smashing into the side of the KC Streetcar on its route as it crossed Truman Road Thursday, May 26, 2016. No one was injured in the collision. It was the first major collision involving the streetcar and the third incident within a week that caused at least one of the cars to be shut down.
