Kansas Legislature approves budget bill

The Kansas House and Senate approved a budget bill by tiny margins early Monday morning.The House vote, 63-59 came at 1:05 a.m. It needed 63 votes to pass. The Senate vote, 22-18 came two hours later. The bill now goes to Gov. Sam Brownback, who has said he will sign it.
