At just past 4:45 p.m. Saturday, a quiet and morose clubhouse was awakened by the sight of an old friend. Raul Ibanez, the former Royal and venerable clubhouse sage, sauntered through a doorway here at Safeco Field and began handing out handshakes and hugs.

Missouri needs a total ban on dangerous texting while driving

More drivers adhered to the rules in states with anti-texting laws than in states without them. That’s bad news for motorists in Missouri, because it’s one of four states – along with Arizona, Montana and Texas – without comprehensive bans on texting.

Pull a Plane raises money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City

Thirty teams competed Saturday at Kansas City International Airport to see which one could pull a FedEx Boeing 757 jet 12 feet the quickest. The Pull a Plane competition is an annual fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. The teams raised more than $80,000.
