Students at Shawnee Mission East find new way to deal with Westboro

In the wake of a protest by members of the Westboro Baptist Church, high school students and staff greeted fellow students with messages of peace, love, and positivity on Friday at Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village. Students choose not to confront the Westboro clan and instead focus on positivity in the halls as students began their school day. This is the third time Westboro has chosen to picket near the high school.
