Alcides Escobar comes through as Royals beat Rays 7-1, complete doubleheader sweep

After slumbering through most of the nightcap in Tuesday’s doubleheader, the Royals came alive with a four-run rally in the decisive sixth inning of a 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Kansas City captured both legs of the two-game set. The Royals broke the deadlock in the sixth when Alcides Escobar emptied the bases with a three-run double.
