A new line of colorful, eco-friendly fabrics is available at Museo in Kansas City.
The Indian Summer collection, by Sina Pearson Textiles of New York City, is jacquard-woven post-consumer recycled polyester with a Crypton Green finish to make it stain-, microbial-, moisture- and odor-resistant.
The color palette and patterns are inspired by India.
“Mehndi,” available in seven colors, is a stylized dot-and-floral motif reminiscent of mehndi painting, ceremonial decorations on hands and feet made with henna dye. “Ikat,” available in six colors, conjures ikat fabrics, a technique in which the yarns have been resist-dyed before weaving.
