Education: Houlehan has a bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst University and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School.

Focus: In his new position, Houlehan will focus on developing new banking relationships and building existing ones. “I’m joining Country Club Bank because I want to be with an organization that puts customer service and its employees first and shareholders’ equity second,” Houlehan said.

Before joining Country Club Bank, Houlehan spent his entire career with U.S. Bank and its predecessors, Roeland Park State Bank, MidAmerican Bank & Trust, Mercantile Bank and First Star Bank.

Background: Houlehan began his banking career in 1961 as a teller before moving up to cashier, trust officer and eventually president.

Extras: Houlehan is a past president of several banking organizations, including the trust division of the Kansas Bankers Association and the Johnson County Bankers Association. He served on or led many charitable and professional boards, including the St. Joseph Health Center Foundation, the Crittenton Center and the Rockhurst University Board of Regents.
