Details: John Brown, a registered architect for more than 18 years, is responsible for increasing the market of government and municipal clients, maintaining existing clients, and providing leadership and direction for clients.

Hollis + Miller is an architecture firm with offices in Lee’s Summit and Overland Park specializing in the planning and design of facilities for educational, municipal and commercial clients.

Focus: Brown said he will focus on the municipal side of the business, with projects such as fire stations and community centers.

Background: Brown has headed projects in the municipal, educational and commercial arenas in Raymore, Odessa, Lee’s Summit, Lenexa, Shawnee and other areas of Johnson County. Those projects included fire stations, city halls, public safety buildings, park and recreation buildings, postal facilities, youth detention centers and jails.

He also has designed schools, conference centers, churches and hospital wings.

Education: Brown has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

Hobbies: Brown enjoys watching his three children play sports and ski.
