•Focus: Cline’s firm is an urban design, planning and landscape architecture firm with offices in Kansas City, Des Moines, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, S.D. The firm is leading the Corridor Urban Design aspect of KCicon, a $245 million project to modernize and revive the I-35/29 corridor. Cline is helping to expand the company’s reach in the market and provide master plans and strategies for design and land planning. He will continue to manage Core Design Development LLC, a spinoff of Gale Communities. Cline is focused on development recommendations and is the master developer for Mission’s West Gateway Redevelopment District.
•Background: Cline was planning director for Gale Communities. Before that, he was design director of the HNTB Corp.’s Urban Design and Planning Group. His portfolio includes the design of communities and neighborhoods including Staley Farm and Tiffany Greens in Kansas City and LionsGate and GlenEagle in Overland Park, plans for a new Village Center in Gladstone, and the enhancement of the Broadway Corridor.
•Education: Cline graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in landscape and architecture. He describes himself as “a proud Wildcat.”
