•Focus: The Central Industrial District Association named Arnett-Bequeaith (pronounced Beckwith) its first woman president. The organization promotes business in the West Bottoms district around Kemper Arena and the old stockyards, which is where her business, Full Moon Productions, is situated.
Arnett-Bequeaith, who has 17 years of leadership and marketing expertise, is vice president of Full Moon, which operates haunted houses. The proceeds from two of them support the Variety Club and other children’s charities.
She has been vice president of the district association and on its board for six years. She said the area is making a comeback, with new commercial, distribution and entertainment venues opening recently.
•Background: She has led Full Moon for eight years. She previously was account director for Hy-Vee stores in Des Moines.
•Extras: Arnett-Bequeaith serves as marketing chair of the Greater Kansas City Attractions Association and is a member of the entertainment committee of the American Royal Barbecue and an adviser for Variety, The Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City.
