Barth Development is using this year’s Spring Homes Tour to display what the marketing team said are the finest in elegant and sophisticated finishes from floors and cabinets to fixtures and appliances. It also offers only the best in amenities to its residents, according to the marketing team. The company’s marketing information said it ensures that its featured homes stand out in quality with award-winning builders in all of its communities.

The traditions of what the marketing team described as building and superior design aesthetics can be seen now in several Barth Development communities during the tour, starting today and running through May 18, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City.

Brothers John and David Barth have developed 13 communities throughout the Kansas City area and prospective homeowners are encouraged to stop by to find out more information about making a home in any of Barth’s distinctive neighborhoods.

Located in southern Platte County, Thousand Oaks offers what marketing information described as the ease of a convenient location with the seclusion of a mostly rural setting. The concept, according to Barth Development Inc., is simple — “to create an environment where community and nature are intertwined and complementary to one another.”

Within Thousand Oaks, three model homes are open to tour. At 14500 N.W. 66th St., a two-story home built by Jay Jackson features a finished lower level complete with cigar room, media room, full bar and poker room. The spacious design was honored with the Parade of Homes Grand Prize for Distinctive Plan and Design. It also received the honor of being an American Dream Award winner.

At 14555 N.W. 66th St., prospective buyers can tour a 1 1/2 -story design built by Sterling Builders Inc. The open plan is described by marketing information as blending airy spaciousness with convenience. The home offers two master bedrooms on the main level and a two-story great room. The builder of this home will host a “Meet the Builder” session on Saturday at Nebraska Furniture Mart with Wines by Jennifer providing wine and refreshments.

For a European flair, buyers are encouraged to visit Casa Bella’s 1 1/2 -story home at 14505 N.W. 66th St. The new floor plan includes an upstairs media room and family room, interior rooms trimmed with dark cherry wood beams and a library loft that offers an arched balcony and a view onto the two-story stone fireplace. Other features include a home theater, covered deck, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Buyers looking for what marketing information said is a “true escape” should consider visiting the model homes in Seven Bridges, Barth Development’s community that combines distinctive architecture, country club-style amenities and sweeping views of the Platte River valley. And at nearly 1,500 acres, Seven Bridges is unmatched in size and luxury, according to the Barth brothers.

Two model homes will be open during the tour, including the 1 1/2 -story model office, built by Garrett Construction Inc. Located at 12890 N. Apple Blossom Drive, the floor plan includes a finished lower level with full bar, wine room, recreation room and media room complete with a refreshment area.

A newly finished two-story plan at 12275 N. Apple Blossom Drive offers a main-level media room and a host of other interior features that enhance the carefully planned layout from builder Golden Key Inc., according to marketing information. Additional features include ample hardwood floors and a spacious country estate kitchen with granite countertops and an oversize walk-in pantry.
