Bullpen, base-running problems cost Royals in 4-3 loss to Indians

Firsthand experience inspires chefs to cook up solutions to food allergies

Food professionals with food allergies face a unique hurdle when confronted with an illness, allergy, intolerance or other disorder because they can’t escape the very thing that triggers symptoms. Instead of quitting, many use their talents to create foods that are safer for both themselves and their customers.

    As I See It

Kansas taxes are now flatter and fairer

“Kansans will pay significantly less in taxes in 2013 than they did in 2012, and the savings will grow from there, even as the state spends billions annually on core responsibilities such as education, roads and Medicaid,” writes Nick Jordan, secretary of the Kansas Department of Revenue.
