Lee’s Summit beat Liberty 24-0 in Missouri Class 6 district semifinals

Lee’s Summit scored 10 points in the two quarters it had a gusty south wind at its back. Liberty failed to score with the wind. That plus a fourth-quarter interception return for a touchdown by Talvin Smith helped Lee’s Summit take a 24-0 victory over Liberty in a Missouri Class 6 District semifinal game Friday evening at Tiger Stadium.

Big second half pushes Liberty North past Smithville

Out of its five first-half possessions, Liberty North had three punts, an interception and a touchdown. So when the Eagles went into the locker room down three points, Liberty North head coach Ken Clemons had a simple message for his team: Man up. Apparently the message stuck. Park Hill South again cruises by Park Hill

Park Hill South’s 24-3 win Thursday wasn’t as statistically dominant as that 38-0 victory to close the regular season last Friday, but it was easily enough for the Panthers to advance to the Missouri Class 5, District 8 semifinals Wednesday at Kearney.
