The parking lot’s crowded,
it’s practically packed
And others are parking
all scrunched up
and stacked.
Persistent patrolling,
I’m looking for place
But fortune is smiling —
why look, there’s
a space!
It’s one that the others
have clearly neglected
And shaded from glare
of the sun it’s protected.
Exulting now, smug
as a driver can be,
I rush to the vacancy,
turn in with glee;
It’s almost as if
they had saved it for me,
To park in the shade
of a mulberry tree!
