The recently announced merger talks between Polsinelli Shalton Flanigan Suelthaus and Shughart Thomson & Kilroy come amid a spate of law firm mergers nationwide.
For the first time, the Missouri Court of Appeals has two African-American chief judges. Thomas N. Newton has been elected by his fellow judges to serve a two-year term in the Western District in Kansas City, and Nannette A. Baker has been elected by her fellow judges to serve a one-year term in the Eastern District in St. Louis.
