    Lemor Estates:

Lemor Estates Garden Apartments provide residents aged 55-plus carefree living with nearby conveniences and on-site activities, according to the marketing team.

The maintenance-provided neighborhoods of Lemor Estates offer a thoughtfully planned balance for retirement-aged parents and their children’s families, according to property manager Terri Brown.

“Quite a few of our residents are not from this area — their children have encouraged them to relocate here,” Brown said. “By living closer, they will be able to help them as they grow older and need some supervision but are still able to live unassisted.”

All Lemor Estates apartments are designed by Sunday-Kreisel Homes for single-level, step-free, handicap-accessible living. Residents also have access to meal and housekeeping services for an additional fee.

The one-bedroom units lease for $715 a month and the two-bedroom units lease for $865 a month. The security deposit is $250. Pets are permitted with an additional pet deposit. Included in the monthly rent are water, cable television, trash service, and snow and ice removal. Lemor Estates is a “total electric” community, which provides residents with a significant costs savings on electric utilities.

Residents enjoy use of the community building, which was the recent scene of a birthday celebration that included a formal dinner for 50 guests. The community building also serves as the community severe weather shelter. Brown is working with residents to develop a variety of programs of interest to the community, many of which may be hosted at the community building.

The Raymore Parks and Recreation Department is expected soon to begin construction of the walking trails that were approved by voters in April. The trail system will include a route through the Lemor Estates subdivision, where wildlife is frequently seen. The trees that line the creekway will remain, providing a permanent sense of “country living,” Brown said.

Another convenience for residents of Lemor Estates is its proximity to Wal-Mart, Brown said. The nearby store can be reached without driving through heavy traffic. Other shopping options, restaurants, churches and medical facilities are within a short drive in Raymore and Belton, and the community is minutes from major highways.
