    VOICES 05/12/08

Can you imagine if we had two men running for the Democratic nomination that we would be talking about letting the loser off easily and gracefully and fretting about how to not hurt his feelings?

    Rita Nelson

    Platte City

Joseph Leto (5/5, Letters) wished that Overland Park and Leawood would have synchronized stoplights. My observation has been that, unless drivers slow down because lights are synchronized to the speed limit, it doesn’t do any good anyway.

    Frances Keating

    Kansas City

In regard to the article “Sewer bill poised to soar” (5/7, Opinion): My sewer bill used to be half of what I paid for water. I pay about the same amount now for sewer that I pay for water. So if they’re going to raise the rates, somebody’s got to take care of us.

    Dennis A. Sieg

    Kansas City
