Stargazing | Nicole Richie tackles the paparazzi, Hugh Jackman on being sexy

More News

Nicole and the paparazzi

Nicole Richie has been granted a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi who she has accused of harassing her “on a daily basis.”

Richie was involved in a car accident last month when two photographers, Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel, crashed into her vehicle.

In a prepared statement, Richie claimed the two photographers would “scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in their vehicle.”

“I am fearful that their continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle.”

The men have been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Richie and her two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, 6 weeks.

A Nov. 16 hearing will determine whether the order will be permanent.

Jackman: Bringing sexy back?

Say it ain’t so.

Hugh Jackman says he’s ready to let someone else have the title of Sexiest Man Alive. Jackman topped People magazine’s annual poll last year.

“The pressure’s off. I can be a slob again. I thought there were thousands of other guys that deserved it, but it’s been a great year,” he says.

Previous “Sexiest” titleholders include Matt Damon, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Matthew McConaughey and Jude Law.

Even though Jackman is ready to relinquish the responsibility, it sounds like he still wouldn’t mind repeating the title.

“I want to be the first to have it back,” he says. “That would be fantastic.”

He’s got our vote.

Ewan and the goat

The movie with the weird title, “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor, opens this weekend.

And it turns out that McGregor forged a rather special relationship with one of the goats.

“There was a scene when George and I are lost, and we are sleeping in the desert. I am supposed to be awakened when a goat with a little bell walks by. I follow the goat and it leads us to water. It saves our lives. We did the first take and the goat just ran through,” says McGregor.

“But in the second take, the goat looked at me and it stopped perfectly in the frame. It stood there looking at me for almost 30 seconds. I looked at the goat and the goat looked at me, then it was almost as if he nodded and just carried on. It was absolutely perfect.”

Lindsay, dad duking it out

The fight is on: Lindsay Lohan versus dad Michael Lohan.

Michael’s making the round of TV shows saying he’s concerned that his daughter is addicted to prescription drugs and should be in rehab.

But Lindsay is calling her dad a “lunatic.” Here’s what she had to say on several Twitter posts:

“My father is a lunatic and doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me and my family.”

“He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life — behind bars.”

“Its so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, ‘why is daddy doing this?’ Through tears. He’s crossed the lines and hurt me and my family 4 the last time… So much for having a ‘dad’….. I’m going to spend some time with the ones that love me and i love now (sic).”

“The next shopping spree I’m going on is for a new last name!!!”

When Lisa Gutierrez isn’t thinking that she’d watch a reality TV show starring Lindsay Lohan and her dad, she’s Stargazing among hopefully reliable accounts of celebrity news.
