Stargazing | Polanski victim wants to be left alone, Billy Mays costumes?

More News

Roman Polanski’s victim says she is being stalked by journalists.

Lawrence Silver, an attorney for Samantha Geimer, says the attention that his client has received since Polanski was arrested in Switzerland on Sept. 26 is causing her health problems.

Silver says Geimer is urging a California appeals court to dismiss the criminal case against the “Chinatown” director.

A filing Friday says that Geimer and Silver have received nearly 500 calls seeking comment and that Geimer, who lives in Hawaii, is being stalked by journalists.

The filing also says that she is afraid that all the attention will cause her to lose her job, and that Geimer just wants to be left alone.

Billy Mays costume contest

Kudos to the family of the late TV pitchman Billy Mays, who died in June.

Knowing that Billy would likely be among this Halloween’s hottest costumes, his family has decided to have fun and throw a “Hallow-Clean” costume contest.

Billy Mays III, who launched a Web site called “Where’s Billy Mays?” in his father’s honor, is asking people to send in photos of themselves dressed as his dad for Halloween.

Some people might find this to be in bad taste, but I agree with Billy’s son on this one.

“All I’m trying to do is spread some positivity out there in the world,” he says on the Web site. “Couldn’t hurt, could it?”

He’ll pick three winners to receive a tub of OxyClean and some autographed pics of his pop as prizes. Entries are due by Nov. 4.

“Good luck and may the beard be with you,” says Billy III.

Michael’s kids in therapy

I’m not surprised to hear that Michael Jackson’s three children are in therapy now.

But I am sorta wondering why their aunt, LaToya Jackson, would tell us. She recently updated London’s Mirror newspaper on the how the kids are doing.

Prince just doesn’t want to speak about it,” she says of her 12-year-old nephew. “I do worry about him very much.”

On the other hand, 11-year-old Paris “thinks and talks about her father all the time. She’s doing very well, writes a lot and she wears his shirts every day. They still smell of him and it helps her feel close to him.”

And the littlest one, Blanket?

He’s “just a very sad, shy little boy,” she says of her nephew, 7. “He cries — he really does cry. It’s so painful for him. No one can bring his daddy back and it hurts so much.”

Apparently the kids asked to see the new movie about their father, “This Is It,” which opens Wednesday.

Krupa to pose for Playboy

Sources tell Fox411 that model Joanna Krupa, currently dancing rings around much of the competition on “Dancing With the Stars,” will grace the December cover of Playboy.

The picture was shot by fashion photog Rankin. Like Marge Simpson’s cover this month, it won’t show everything, the source says.

It will be “very modern and artistic — unlike anything we have seen before in Playboy,” the source says.

Jay-Z heading to World Series

Talk about yer luck.

The New York Yankees have been playing the heck out of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” at their playoff games. Now they’ve invited him to sing the song live to kick off Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday.

Jay-Z will perform with fellow New Yorker Alicia Keys.

“Thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee,” Jay-Z said.

When Lisa Gutierrez isn’t feeling very sad for Michael Jackson’s children, she’s Stargazing among hopefully accurate celebrity news reports.
