— Tarik Black’s dunk was impressive. The bench reaction was … well, quite memorable.

Black, a senior forward, threw down a one-handed jam over Texas’ Cameron Ridley during the final minutes of No. 8 Kansas’ 85-54 victory over No. 19 Texas on Saturday night. In basketball terms, it was less of a dunk, and more of a “Mozgov”, the name bestowed on Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin’s thunder dunk on the Knicks’ Timofey Mozgov a few years back.

“It was incredible,” KU freshman center Joel Embiid said. “I mean, I’ve seen something like that, but I think the only one who did it was Blake Griffin, so it reminded me of Blake.”

If you watch the video, there’s a lot to take in. There’s KU senior walk-on Niko Roberts, who generally plays the role of team hype man. Watch as Roberts puts fellow walk-on Evan Manning in a headlock. There’s Wayne Selden, who jumps over the bench, walks around to the other side, and then jumps into Roberts’ arms. And there’s assistant coach Jerrance Howard, who gets excited before realizing he needs to calm down. There’s more, but just watch.
