— The Royals will stretch out 10 starting pitchers during their Cactus League stint. Manager Ned Yost shared the preliminary pairings and schedule on Saturday morning.

Here is the breakdown for the first turn through the rotation:

Feb. 27: Bruce Chen and Danny Duffy.

Feb. 28: James Shields and Chris Dwyer.

March 1: Jason Vargas and Brad Penny.

March 2: Wade Davis and Yordano Ventura.

March 3: Jeremy Guthrie and Luke Hochevar.

"We’ll switch some of these guys off," Yost said. "We’ve got some B-games coming up . . . Ventura will start. We’ll flip Chen and Duffy, Ventura and Davis. Let them go back forth between starting, backing up, starting, backing up."
