FC Kansas City announced Thursday that it will send one of its international roster slots to the Western New York Flash in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2015 National Women’s Soccer League college draft.

Each team is allowed three international roster slots by the NWSL and this trade will allow the Flash one additional international player for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The Blues also announced that they invited Stephanie Thompson and Molly Dreska from open tryouts to join them in training camp starting March 10.

Thompson, a midfielder from Evansville, was an all-Missouri Valley first-team selection her junior and senior seasons and had seven game-winning goals in her career. Dreska, a midfielder from Maryland, played every game during her junior and senior seasons for the Terrapins and scored eight goals. She is currently a communications assistant for Sporting Kansas City.

Additionally, FC Kansas City waived Katie Kelly and Jamie French. Kelly played seven games this season and started two as a defender for the Blues. French, a forward, played one game this year.
