Bargain brand beer — or “value beer,” if you speak marketing — has a new entry, Busch Signature Copper Lager.
Anheuser-Busch said its latest brew offers “premium taste at an affordable price point” and is rolling out in 12 states, including Missouri and Kansas.
The brewer said it’s the first addition to the Busch brand in more than 15 years and is the first bargain copper lager — from adding roasted caramel malt — and has a higher 5.7 percent alcohol content. Busch also is promoting it as “a slightly more flavorful beer for that slightly more special occasion.”
