Insane Clown Posse festival pulls out of Missouri site

— A yearly festival headlined by the rap-metal group Insane Clown Posse won’t be staged this summer at a central Missouri town’s campground after all.

Some two weeks after announcing the Gathering of the Juggalos was bound for CryBaby Campground in tiny Kaiser, Mo., organizers of the event held the past seven years in southern Illinois say the campground has backed out.

Suburban Detroit-based Psychopathic Records says in an online posting that the Miller County campground’s operators had second thoughts after residents of that area complained about the prospect of hosting the multiday event that draws about 10,000.

Psychopathic Records says it does have a “Plan B,” but it isn’t saying what that is.
