The NAIA, in conjunction with the National Basketball Coaches Association, will debut three-point and slam dunk contests and an all-star game during its Division I basketball tournament quarterfinals March 22 at Municipal Auditorium.

The three-point and slam dunk events will start after the day’s first quarterfinal, which is scheduled to tip off at 10:30 a.m. Each contest will have four competitors, who will be selected from either NAIA Division I or II teams. The other three quarterfinals will follow at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. before the all-star game tips off.

The game will pit two teams of 10 All-Stars from each division. The Division II team will be announced March 6 and the Division I team will be revealed March 11. The three-point and slam dunk contestants also will be announced that day.

Tickets for the entire day start at $5. The NAIA Division I men’s basketball tournament starts March 19 and runs through March 25.
