Royals left-handed pitcher Everett Teaford cleared waivers and has been assigned to Class AAA Omaha, the club announced Friday.

Teaford has received an invitation to spring training, which begins when pitchers and catchers report on Feb. 14.

He spent most of last season in Omaha, splitting time as a starter and reliever. He’s made 45 appearances, including eight starts, for the Royals over the past three seasons, and owns a 3-5 career mark with a 4.25 ERA.
