As the heavy snows fell across the Kansas City area, airlines canceled flights out of Kansas City International airport Tuesday.

By 12:30 p.m., more than 61 flights had been canceled out of KCI. Only 59 flights had departed.

Kansas City International announced on its Twitter feed that some airlines were waiving change fees. Travelers should check with their airlines for details as well as flykci.com for the latest flight information.
