Singer/rapper Trey Songz sat behind the Kansas bench during the Jayhawks’ 92-81 win over Iowa State on Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.

He came to see KU freshman guard Frank Mason, who, like the singer, is a native of Petersburg, Va. Songz posted this on his Twitter account: “Great win tonight for the Jayhawks! Fans showed so much love! Musta took 100 pics!!! And on top of it all my youngin is doin well.”

But Songz also had some advice for Jayhawks coach Bill Self as the final seconds ticked off the clock.

After the game, Self was asked for his favorite track by Songz.

Self’s response: “Bottoms up,” later adding, “I Googled it.”
