Obama’s State of the Union speech lacked specific solutions

A recent Wall Street Journal and NBC News poll showed that the top two concerns of the American people were jobs and reducing the deficit.

President Barack Obama’s speech was sadly lacking in defining those issues and giving specific solutions. These are big problems and they deserve dynamic solutions that can really create change.

Raising the minimum wage is not a dynamic solution nor is hiring the long term unemployed. As usual this President believes if he talks about it he has done his job, but never takes the next step of specific answers.

It seemed to be a feel good speech aimed at changing the minds of the American people about his good intentions and mentioning all of the correct political issues to energize the liberal base. It was easy listening, nothing to excite and not radical enough to start the change process.
