Sharpen your knives, Kansas City chefs. Guy Fieri’s new Food Network show, Guy’s Grocery Games, is looking for more than a few good contestants.

“Whether you cook at a fine dining restaurant or own your own diner,” reads the casting flyer that recently landed in our inbox, “if you think you have the chops to make mincemeat out of the competition, you want to apply.”
Each episode of Guy’s Grocery Games pits four chefs against one another in a grocery store cooking competition that challenges the chefs to shop on a budget and find last-minute substitutions for out-of-stock ingredients. The winner takes home up to $20,000.
Want to throw your toque blanche in the ring? Send an email to casting associate Bianca Macaluso (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your city and state in the subject line. The email should include your name, phone number, current occupation, culinary background, a recent photo of you, photos of your food, and why you think you could win.
If a Kansas City chef makes the final cut, it won’t be the first time a local chef appears on Food Network this year. Did you see 801 Fish chef Alex Schifman on Cutthroat Kitchen Sunday?
