Northwest Missouri’s Adam Dorrel is Division II coach of the year

Northwest Missouri coach Adam Dorrel, who led the Bearcats to their fourth national championship in December, was chosen Division II coach of the year by the American Football Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Dorrel was also chosen coach of the year in the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association. He is 36-6 in three years at Northwest, which finished 15-0 last season.
