U.S. Reps. Tim Huelskamp and Mike Pompeo of Kansas voted against the $1.1 trillion catch-all spending bill Wednesday. U.S. Reps. Kevin Yoder and Lynn Jenkins voted yes.
All are Republicans.
The measure passed and will now go to the Senate.
Huelskamp and Pompeo’s votes effectively mean opposition to the part of the bill allocating $404 million for the National Bio- and Agro-Defense project in Manhattan, Kan.
U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Democrat , did not vote. U.S. Reps. Billy Long and Jason Smith of Missouri voted no. Both are Republicans.
